Contouring 101

Hello Boos, I thought to do a little tutorial on contouring, it could be easy or a dawning task but with these tips and tricks, it can help you achieve the perfect summer bronze look you been looking for.

Contouring your face helps define your features, creating the appearance of higher cheekbones and a slimmer nose and chin. It's a technique that was popularized by celebrity makeup artists, but with the right products and equipment it's easy to do on your own. Once you've applied your contouring makeup, remember to blend well for a flawless, natural look.

My Night Out Makeup Routine

Hey Boos, Hope your weekend is going good! well, as promised in my previous post this is my Night Out Makeup Routine, I tend to use this look at night when I'm going to dinner, or a night on the town. I love using roses, and browns at night time, it really helps my eyes stick out more, but you can you use any eyeshadows you like in this tutorial. I also tried to stick to a simple look as well, by not putting on so much foundation as I do in the day time, Since I try to avoid liquid makeup on my face when I go out at night because of sweat! HELLO! I live in Florida and it tends to get very humid at night. LOL! Enjoy (:

You need these babies in your LIFE! With Spring and Summer soon approaching, these sprays will be a MUST in any girls collection. So I decided to put the two makeup setting sprays to the test to really see, Are They Worth It?

11 SAD Facts about Animal Testing!

Hello Boos, Was surfing the net and found this sad article about facts about USA animal testing from DoSomething.org. Very interesting read about our laws with animal testing, along with other countries as well, hopefully we can get these change real soon!

  1.   Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned and abused in U.S. labs every year.
  2.  92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human clinical trials because they are too dangerous or don’t work.
  3.  Labs that use mice, rats, birds, reptiles and amphibians are exempted from the minimal protections under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA).
  4.  Up to 90% of animals used in U.S. labs are not counted in the official statistics of animals tested.
  5. It’s mandatory for all products to be tested on animals in China. Meanwhile, the European Union issued a ban on the sale of new cosmetics that are tested on animals.
  6. Even animals that are protected under the AWA can be abused and tortured. And the law doesn’t require the use of valid alternatives to animals, even if they are available.
  7. According to the Humane Society, registration of a single pesticide requires more than 50 experiments and the use of as many as 12,000 animals.
  8.  Several cosmetic tests commonly performed on mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs include: skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed on shaved skin or dripped into the eyes without any pain relief.
  9.  In tests of potential carcinogens, subjects are given a substance every day for 2 years. Others tests involve killing pregnant animals and testing their fetuses.
  10.  The real life applications for some of the tested substances are as trivial as an “improved” laundry detergent, new eye shadow, or copycat drug to replace a profitable pharmaceutical whose patent expired.
  11.  “Alternative” tests achieve one or more of the “3 R’s:” replaces a procedure that uses animals with a procedure that doesn’t, reduces the number of animals used in a procedure, refines a procedure to alleviate or minimize potential animal pain.

Hello Boos, back with another cruelty free review on The Color Workshop Eyeliner and Eye Crayon Set. This set is perfect for any color eyes and adds a little pop of color to every look. I personally love the vibrant liquid eyeliners, quality of the eye crayons is excellent, and work very well. This is the same company that makes Wet n Wild Cosmetics, Markwins Beauty is Cruelty Free and Endorsed By PETA. Hope you enjoy this review, any questions feel free to comment below!

Eyeliner Swatches
My Review:
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this. I received it as a gift,  There are 3 eye crayons in this set. There is some shimmer in these eye crayons but after a while on the lid (no primer) they look matte. My favorite colors are the silvers, & blue-silver crayons, the pink sheer is great for highlighting the brow bone. There are 3 Eyeliners as well, Very pigmented and smooth. Drying time was fairly quick and lasted about 8hours on a typical work day. Overall, this is a great product for the price, with amazing quality :)
